Kayaking in Northwest Arkansas

Kayaking in Northwest Arkansas

Just east of Rogers, Beaver Lake has become one of Northwest Arkansas's favorite destinations for a weekend escape. Surrounded by Ozark hills, forests, and miles of shoreline, it's the kind of place where life naturally slows down and mornings feel a little more meaningful. Our favorite kayak spot is just off Highway 303 from Highway 12. Turn right on County Road 604, and the lake is just down the hill; Van Hollow Public Access. It’s a quiet cove made for exploring.

Whether you're camping along the water, launching a kayak at sunrise, casting a fishing line from a quiet cove, or spending the afternoon wakeboarding and swimming, Beaver Lake offers countless ways to enjoy the outdoors. With hundreds of campsites, hiking trails, and easy access to the water, it's an adventure that can be as relaxing or as active as you want it to be.

For us, every great lake day starts the same way: a fresh cup of coffee before the sun comes up. There's something special about watching the morning mist rise off Beaver Lake while holding a warm mug and planning the day ahead. Coffee has a way of making those simple moments memorable.

So pack the kayak, and don't forget the coffee. Beaver Lake is one of those places that reminds us why we love Northwest Arkansas—a place where outdoor adventure and everyday moments come together.
